Service Coordination

Peacox assists individuals in recovery with help necessary to identify housing, transportation, food supplemental services, clothing, health care, childcare, or employment. Peacox staff helps those seeking care set proprieties and identify level of care. Moreover, staff facilitates a connection with the desired service provider.

Workforce Development

The Peacox workforce program is designed to help youth and young adults identify a career vision that incorporates passion, priorities, and goals into an education, training, and job tract. Peacox offers employment training modules that includes job readiness, professional mindset, job credentialling, and RRC. The Peer Center assists individuals with identifying internships, job shadowing, apprenticeships, and job placement.

Mentorship

Youth ages 12 to 18 may participate in the mentoring program. The program is heavily focused on activities that lead to empowerment. Youth one-on-one and group sessions assist them with recognizing the factors which help define personal identity. Individuals develop a life vision statement which supports character development, academic achievement, and career planning. Youth may participate in study tables, tutoring, STEM Academy, and facilitated Positive Action dialogues in addition to mentoring.

Life Coaching

Adults participate in self-directed Peacox coaching opportunities. These opportunities are person-centered enabling those in recovery to shape personal goals, life experiences, and relationships.

Civic Engagement

Neighborhood Watch (NW) – The Peacox Neighborhood Watch Program is an initiative that promotes healthy community communication between local residents through information sharing and resource distribution. Members participate in local patrols to promote safety, and collect debris to promote community beautification.

About Us
The Peacox Peer Center (PPC) is a community-based drop-in center in Whitehall, Ohio that promotes resiliency and recovery. PPC serves youth and young adults ages 12 to 30 addressing issues related to trauma, identity, self-esteem, employment, and empowerment. The Peacox Peer Center offers an array of activities and services to address individual needs like mentoring, job training, STEM Academy, and learning opportunities. In addition, The Peacox Peer Center utilizes certified peer support specialists to facilitate monthly peer group meetings.
